Q & A: Impact of Withdrawn PR Application on Non-Immigration Application
Q. If you submit an application for landed immigrant and then withdraw it (e.g. because of a bad interview or couldn't gather the money, etc.) will this preclude you from obtaining a student visa later?
Answer: It would not necessarily preclude a student authorization at a later date. As there would be evidence, however, that an intention had existed to relocate to Canada permanently, a PR application (withdrawn, or not) may affect the likelihood of the issuance of such non-immigrant visas.
