British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec and Prince Edward Island issue invitations to apply for provincial immigration

British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec and Prince Edward Island have issued invitations to apply to candidates through provincial immigration programs this week. Alberta and Quebec draws are recent publications of draws that occurred in December.

The federal and provincial governments share responsibility for immigration in Canada. Most Canadian provinces and territories (except for Quebec and Nunavut)  take advantage of this and operate their own Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). The PNP allows provinces to target candidates they feel will best suit the local labour force and integrate easily.
