Ontario, British Columbia, and Manitoba have issued notifications of interest to candidates in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) this week.
Every province and territory in Canada (except Nunavut and Quebec) operates its own PNP. These programs help provincial governments select economic immigration candidates who will support the local economy and successfully integrate.
The PNP is a pathway to permanent residence and was established in 1998 to help spread the economic benefits of immigration throughout Canada instead of a few urban centers such as Toronto or Vancouver.

All PNPs have multiple streams to attract a wide range of candidates, depending on their eligibility such as programs for international students, those with job offers in the province or those who have experience in specific occupations.
Provincial immigration results April 20- 26
Ontario
On April 23, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to 209 candidates in the Employer Job Offer; Foreign Worker Stream. All candidates had minimum scores of at least 53.
The draw targeted candidates with skilled trades occupations. It was the first such draw since January 9 when the province invited 630 candidates.
British Columbia
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) held a comparatively small draw on April 23, inviting just over 86 candidates from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams (including Express Entry BC candidates).
Candidates were invited through five draws targeted for specific occupations. The largest draw invited 45 candidates in tech occupations with a minimum score of 120.
The province also invited 19 candidates in healthcare occupations with a minimum score of 95.
There were 11 candidates invited in both childcare and construction occupations. Childcare candidates needed to score a minimum of 92 and construction candidates needed to score 95.
Finally, less than five candidates in veterinary occupations with a score of at least 85 also received invitations.
Manitoba
On April 24, 327 candidates were invited in the latest Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draws.
The province invited candidates from three streams including 203 candidates from the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream who had completed their post-secondary studies in Manitoba. These candidates required a minimum score of 811 to be considered.
Invitations were also issued to 66 International Education stream candidates. No minimum score was mentioned.
Finally, 58 candidates were invited through the Skilled Worker Overseas stream as part of a strategic recruitment initiative. These candidates needed a score of at least 644 to be considered.
