This week, Ontario, British Columbia (B.C.) and Saskatchewan have issued provincial immigration invitations to eligible candidates.
Across Canada, 11 of the country’s 13 provinces and territories – the exceptions being Nunavut and Quebec – use Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) that allow the local government in each participating region to select skilled immigrants whom they have assessed as best-suited to address local labour market needs and minimize regional demographic challenges.
Note: Although immigration is a shared responsibility between Canada’s governments at the federal and provincial/territorial levels, Quebec does not operate a PNP. This is because the local government in that province has an agreement in place with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that allows Quebec to maintain greater authority over provincial economic immigration.

Provincial immigration results from June 8 to June 14
Ontario
For the first time in nearly two months, Ontario has issued invitations through its Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). These invitations were issued through two separate draws on June 11, 2024.
In the first draw, under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream, the OINP issued 124 invitations to candidates who may qualify as early childhood educators and assistants (National Occupation Classification (NOC) 42202). This draw invited candidates with a score ranging from 43 and above.
In a separate June 11 draw, the OINP also issued 120 invitations to candidates in a targeted draw through its Employer Job Offer: International Student stream. This draw was also for candidates who may qualify as early childhood educators and assistants but this draw required a minimum score of 65.
British Columbia
On June 11, British Columbia conducted another British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) general draw.
In this draw, B.C. issued 39 invitations to immigration candidates from five BCPNP streams. As has been the case throughout 2024, these streams targeted through this draw included:
- Skilled Worker
- Skilled Worker – Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option
- International Graduate
- International Graduate – EEBC option
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled
Note: For all streams except “Entry Level and Semi-Skilled”, the June 11 draw required candidates to have a minimum score of 131. Entry Level and Semi-Skilled candidates, meanwhile, needed a minimum score of 110.
In addition to the above, also on June 11, B.C. conducted a targeted draw that issued 27 invitations to candidates in three occupational categories.
- Six invitations were issued to childcare candidates with a minimum score of 93
- Nine invitations were issued to construction candidates with a minimum score of 93
- 12 invitations were issued to healthcare candidates with a minimum score of 102
Saskatchewan
For the first time since March 2024, Saskatchewan held provincial immigration draws through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) on June 13, 2024.
In the first of two draws, under the SINP’s Express Entry stream, Saskatchewan invited 88 candidates who had professional work experience in certain occupations. Candidates invited under this stream on June 13 were required to have a minimum score of 88.
The other SINP draw from June 13 invited an additional 32 candidates through the program’s Occupations In-Demand stream. Once again, this draw targeted candidates with specific professional employment experience. These candidates also required a minimum score of 88.
Note: Both draws only invited candidates who possessed an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) “or were educated in Canada.” To see which occupations* the SINP deemed as eligible for each June 13 draw, separated by NOC, click here.
