Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan issue provincial nominations

This week, four Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) issued nominations to immigration candidates.

Candidates were selected for their professional experience, secured employment, and general eligibility for provincial immigration.

Note: Each PNP uses its own scoring system, (or if a stream is aligned with the federal Express Entry system, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)) to assign eligibility points to immigration candidates. These scores are largely not comparable to each other and should be viewed only within the context of a specific PNP.

Provincial immigration results: September 6th to 13th

British Columbia

On September 10th the British Columbia PNP (BCPNP) invited candidates through the Skilled Worker International Graduate stream. This draw invited candidates with professional experience in in-demand professions that the province is seeking to fill—and was aligned with the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option.

Candidates had varying cut-off scores under this draw, depending on their professional experience:

Childcare workers needed a minimum score of 83 to be invited (30 invitations issued);
Construction workers needed a minimum score of 89 to be invited (19 invitations issued);
Healthcare workers needed a minimum score of 99 to be invited (18 invitations issued);
Tech workers needed a minimum score of 117 to be invited (84 invitations issued); and
Veterinary care workers needed a minimum score of 80 to be invited (at least one invitation issued).

Ontario

On September 10th the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) held three draws under its “Employment: Job Offer” streams.

The first draw occurred under the Employment Job Offer: International Students stream. 806 candidates were invited; needing a minimum score of 67, and a job offer in a listed health occupation or skilled trade job to be considered.

The second draw occurred under the Employment Job Offer: Skilled Trades stream. 15 candidates were invited; and needed a minimum score of 67 and a job offer in a listed skilled trade occupation to be considered.

The third draw on this day occurred under the Employment Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream. 647 Candidates were invited; and needed a minimum score of 34, and a job offer in Ontario that met the job offer requirements of the stream to be considered.

On September 12th the OINP held another provincial selection under the Human Capital Priorities stream, inviting 1,269 candidates. To be considered, candidates needed a minimum score between 414 and 444, as well as work experience in selected healthcare roles.

Manitoba

On September 12th the Manitoba PNP (MPNP) held a provincial selection under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream.

206 candidates were issued Letters of Advice to Apply under this draw. Candidates were only considered if:

They held current employment in one of the following occupations: Cooks (National Occupation Classification* (NOC) 63200), or Chefs (NOC 62200); and
They or their spouse had completed post-secondary education in Manitoba.

Of the 206 candidates invited under this draw, 21 declared a valid Express Entry profile number.

Note: The National Occupation Classification is the Canadian government’s national system for categorizing and referencing occupations in Canada.

Saskatchewan

On September 12th the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) held a provincial selection under the Occupations-In-Demand stream. 32 candidates were invited under this draw.

To be considered, candidates needed a minimum score of 88, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA), or a degree from a Canadian post-secondary education, as well as currently be holding employment in one of the following NOCs:

NOC 0012: Senior managers, financial, communications, and other business services;
NOC 10010: Financial managers;
NOC 10011: Human resources managers;
NOC 10021: Banking, credit, and other investment managers;
NOC 11101: Financial and investment analysts;
NOC 11109: Other financial officers;
NOC 11200: Human resources professionals;
NOC 12010: Supervisors, general office, and administrative support workers;
NOC 12102: Procurement and purchasing agents and officers;
NOC 20012: Computer and information systems managers;
NOC 21220: Cybersecurity specialists;
NOC 21221: Business systems specialists;
NOC 21222: Information systems specialists;
NOC 21223: Database analysts and data administrators;
NOC 21231: Software engineers and designers;
NOC 22220: Computer network and web technicians;
NOC 22303: Construction estimators;
NOC 41200: University professors and lecturers;
NOC 41210: College and other vocational instructors;
NOC 41405: Education policy researchers, consultants, and program officers;
NOC 42202: Early childhood educators and assistants;
NOC 43100: Elementary and secondary school teacher assistants;
NOC 60010: Corporate sales managers; or
NOC 70012: Facility operation and maintenance managers.
