British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba, and Prince Edward Island have issued invitations to apply to candidates through provincial immigration programs this week.

Through these Provincial Nominee Programs, interested candidates may be invited to apply for provincial nomination, which can aid in obtaining permanent residence. Most Canadian provinces operate their own PNPs except for Quebec and Nunavut.

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) began in 1998 and is responsible for 105,000 PR admissions per year. Federal and provincial governments both consider it useful to promote economic development throughout the country.
