Employment increased strongly for the third consecutive month, rising by an estimated 60,000 in November.

As a result, employment is now up 313,000 (+2.1%) compared with the level at the end of last year. With November's job increase and a decline in unemployment, the unemployment rate fell 0.3 percentage points to 6.9% - the lowest level since August 1981.
